Materials FiberCore Europe is driven by innovation. We are the world’s expert manufacturer of fibre-reinforced, all composite and load-bearing structures for both architecture and infrastructure. Our structures are made entirely out of FRP, using vacuum infusion (no pultrusion) and patented moulding techniques. The concept of using composites or FRP (two different names for a material made of fiber and resin) in infrastructure is relatively new but logical, because composites have lots of advantages: Sustainability Our composite structures are produced in closed processes. That means no emmissions. None of the materials or production methods cause for pollution. Zero-maintenance Our products are maintainence-free. None of our used materials can be deminished by moisture, fungi, heat or other forms of decay. That is why our structures have a 50-year guarantee. Safety Our structures beat structures made out of concrete or steel. The material is virtually fire proof. In case of severe heat, only the toplayer will catch fire. Compared to steel and concrete structures, on our structures, fatigue and corrosion do not occur. Therefore the life-expectancy of on most of our structures is more than a hundred years. All our structures meet the following Dutch standards:
Lightweight construction Our structures are light-weight and therefore account for:
Freedom of form Choosing composites means almost anything is possible in design terms. The advanced InfraCore® mould system allows for no restrictions on load, span, foundation, shape, colour and finishing material. InfraCore® even allows for LED lights to be integrated in the bridges.
Based on initial costs, our structures are competitive with concrete and steel structure, thanks to automated engineering and the flexibility of the moulds used in manufacturing. When taking in account advantages as production times, light-weight construction, maintenance, life-expectancy and residual values, our structures are stunningly less expensive than traditional building materials.
