For this project, sustainability was an especially important factor. The environmental impact (MKI value) was an important criterion for the customer. Together with the contractor, Dura Vermeer, a lot of attention was paid to this part when writing the Plan of Approach. In addition, the beautiful design of Buro M.A.A.N. racked up the score as well as the low maintenance costs and long life expectancy of over 100 years. A special design detail is the ‘bead’ profile along the edge of the bridge.
