FiberCore Europe installed a plastic bridge with integrated abutments in Purmerend this week.
In this way, optimum use is made of the low weight of the InfraCore structures. Due to the floating capacity of the integrated abutments, in most cases foundation or soil improvement is no longer necessary. The first bridge according to this concept has been delivered to the Municipality of Purmerend. This municipality previously ordered two plastic InfraCore bridges. Meanwhile, many other parties have already shown their interest in the concept. It is therefore expected that more bridges using the same principle will soon be installed.
