Elburg | Elburg Bridge

In 2015, the new bridge case for the Elburg Bridge was installed. The weathered steel bridge case was replaced with a composite bridge case. The Elburgerbrug, located between Elburg and Dronten, is one of the important traffic connections for traffic from and to Flevoland. The bridge forms the separation between Lake Dronter and Lake Veluwe.

Prefab composite FiberCore road bridges have many advantages over steel bridges, such as durability and weight savings. The application of composite therefore fits well with the spearhead of Flevoland Province; sustainability.
