Commissioned by the Municipality of Rotterdam, FiberCore Europe replaced over 70 obsolete wooden bridges in the Beverwaard neighborhood, among others, in recent years. These old bridges were supported by intermediate supports in the water; these have become redundant with the installation of the composite bridges.

The properties of composite as a building material in bridges is well represented here by the distinctive "kinks" in the design of the bridges; a reference to characteristic old Dutch polder bridges.

Because of their beautiful design (the "Rotterdam Bridge"), the bridges have become true showpieces for Rotterdam.
