Tholen | Thousandth bridge | #1000bridges

A special moment in development of prefab composite bridges: the 1000th prefab composite bridge with InfraCore® Inside from FiberCore Europe will be placed in the Municipality of Tholen in September 2020. The bridge is part of a project of Aquavia (part of KWS) from Sas van Gent, in which three composite bridges will be installed. These are not the first composite bridges for the Municipality of Tholen; four bridges were previously delivered by FiberCore. The bridge was installed on September 8, 2020 and will be festively opened on October 1 (to the extent possible in connection with COVID-19).

The bridge represents a milestone in the young history of composite as a structural material for bridge construction. FiberCore was at the forefront of this revolutionary development.
