Commissioned by the Recreatieschap Westfriesland, this beautiful old Dutch composite chicken bridge was installed by Strukton Civiel West. The maintenance-free bridge is located on the border of the municipalities of Heerhugowaard and Opmeer across the Langereis. This bicycle bridge replaces a concrete road bridge, whose clearance had become too low for the new marina. In order to create a safe situation for cyclists, a "bicycle lock" has been placed on both sides OP the bridge.

The railings are made of recycled plastic and a resin was also used for the bridge in which about 17% recycled PET bottles were used.
