From the client Province of Zeeland, Mr. Stelpstra, Region Head for Waterways, discusses the experiences with the special swing bridge and in particular with the plastic deck on it. In the interview, he goes on to discuss weight and maintenance advantages and the protection the closed deck provides for the underlying steel structure (against water and de-icing salts). He also highlights the enthusiastic response from the residents of his Province, the ultimate users of the swing bridge.
